The meeting between KUHNEN & WACKER Intellectual Property La

Attorney Detlef von Ahsen from KUHNEN & WACKER Intellectual Property Law Firm(Germany) had a visit to our firm on 13th July 2015. It is an honor of our international department to have the reception, and both parties communicated pleasantly during the meeting. During the meeting we made a brief introduction of our development history, the internal staff structure and system of CENFO. Especially, we presented the volume of case per year, and services that our firm can offer to our clients; moreover, we introduced Mr. HU, the general manager of CENFO to attorney Detlef, besides our main customers and the development orientation in the future.
Attorney Detlef expounded the recent development of European unitary patent, his topic mainly refers to the following contents:
1, the major routes to obtain patent in Europe and 38 EPC contacting states.
2, the meaning of Unitary Patent: ‘The Unitary Patent is a European patent which has unitary effect in all participating Member States (all EU Member States except Italy and Spain)’.
3, the implementation date of Unitary Patent is expected in late 2016 or early 2017.
4, Detlef analyzed the advantages and the disadvantages of Unitary Patent, and the exclusive competence of Unified Patent Court, finally he introduced the structure of Unified Patent Court.
We spent a happy and harmonious meeting time and all of that is impressive.Most importantly, we have illuminated the mutual cooperation relationship in the future, therefore both of us firmly believe KUHNEN & WACKER and CENFO will be a great partner for each other.
