In order to promote the high-quality development of software registration work and improve the efficiency of software registration work, the China Copyright Protection Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Copyright Center") will trial online processing of software copyright registration starting from June 1, 2023.

Starting from June 1st, applicants and agents should follow the instructions of the Copyright Center software registration system, fill in the registration application information online and upload relevant application documents. Submit the application after confirming that it is correct. There is no need to submit or mail paper documents to the Copyright Center.

Software copyright registration applications submitted online before June 1 will still be processed in the original way. The Copyright Center Mail Processing Center will no longer accept software copyright registration application materials sent by mail starting from June 1st. The Tianqiao Copyright Registration Hall of the Copyright Center will be extended for 20 working days and will continue to handle software copyright registration and inquiries until June 30.

Due to factors such as the trial run of online software copyright registration and the large processing volume of existing paper media registration application materials, applications submitted online may not be accepted for review immediately. The Copyright Center will follow Article 20 of the "Computer Software Copyright Registration Measures" It is stipulated that all accepted applications shall be reviewed within 60 days from the date of acceptance.
